The definition of the word
"Soulidium", as defined by
Soulidium's founder
Michael McKnight, is:
"The place within us that
contains the mystical spirit and soul of our creative artistry. A place where
the fabric of our lives and experiences are transformed into their artistic
equivalents; a housing for the very voice of our souls".
Soulidium is bringing a firestorm as fans are overwhelmingly praising
their debut release, 'Children of Chaos'.
Metal Edge Magazine describes
Soulidium's new
cd, in their Jan/Feb 2008 Issue, as having the potential to
"Cause a ruckus above the surface", and hailed
Children
of Chaos "a heavy impact" cd. Fans around the globe
seem to agree. Soulidium's multifaceted brand of entertainment
is bringing something to the music scene that sets them far apart, giving huge
justification to the band's bold marketing slogan,
"Join the Addiction".
Soulidium has appeared most recently in the
Saw IV
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with artists like
Emily
Autumn, Avenged Sevenfold, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Sixx A.M., Drowning Pool,
Saosin, Submersed, Nitzer-Ebb & Ministry with their stellar anger
anthem, "Trapped", described by
Metal Edge Magazine
as the "Perfect execution".
The opportunity led Soulidium to shoot a music video for
Saw IV with the help of
Horror Director Marcus Koch
who set out to shoot a "Mini-SAW V". Koch and
Soulidium's own Chris Polidoro combined forces to
create film special effects that led Soulidium to win a
Music Video of the Year Award from the Florida film community, and
gained them national praise from the world's horror authority, Fangoria
Magazine.
Soulidium is comprised of
Singer/Songwriter Michael
McKnight, Shadow Morte (Guitar),
Chris Polidoro (Guitar), Jadis Lucien
(Bass), and
Jon D Raven (Drums).
The 5 bring a chemistry that rocks hard and even industry giants
Dean
Guitars and DDrum have backed
Soulidium,
proudly endorsing the entire band at once.
Guitarist Shadow Morte stated,
" My friend Dimebag
Darrell has always been a huge inspiration to me his personality and playing
were like no other, and the people at Dean are like family to me. They really
know how to treat their artists. They are building an empire. It’s amazing how
many people are playing Dean Guitars now days. When I really got a chance to
first play a Dean, I picked it up and said to myself WOW! This playes killer! It
just felt right. Not long from now, I know everyone's gonna have their wings and
own a Dean."
A reviewer from RollingStone.com stated that
"Soulidium's
'Children Of Chaos' is one the best buys any rock fan can make. Period."
RockMyMonkey's review stated "To the songs DAMMIT! ALL
of the songs on this album are exceedingly well crafted, with not a one that I
wanted to skip past."
Soulidium has proven an unmistakable ability to write songs
that pierce their listeners and dig in deep. A quote from
AwayTeam.com
says it best, "I could go on for days about how this band is out to
lead the charge in a full-blown Active Rock Radio takeover.".
Get ready to discover your new addiction. Soulidium!
